Subcultural is a concept of a group of people within a culture that differentiates itself from the parent culture to which it belongs maintaining some of its founding principles. People try to find where they can fit in to get in. Subcultural groups such as hip-hop culture, high cultural or the hippies all becomes a trend to follow. Issues of this brings identity crisis of whom they are , but this brings the spice into what you wear because you become inspired and can create your style. A garment I chose that created a statement and subcultural placement would be the choker that began in the 19th century around 1900
