In the story "The Hunger Games" Katniss, the main character was taught at a young age by her parents to know how to hide the emotions on her face by just seeming like she had no emotion. This later on affected her in meeting new characters later on in the story by how she was on the first impression, they all thought she was some person without a heart but that turned out to be wrong. The way she was taught as a child affected her later down the road, it also effected the way she saw other people. She grew up taking care of her family after her father died so during "The Hungers Game" that showed when Rue didn’t that much food and Katniss saw that so she gave her food to her in a way it was taking care and making sacrifices for the people you love and trust, that all can depend on how you were. They might say that everybody is unique and they develop their own individual culture. For example, in the text "What Is Cultural Identity", in paragraph 8 it says, "We all have unique identities that we develop within our cultures, but these identities are not fixed or static. This is the reason that stereotypes do not hold up: no two individuals from any culture are exactly alike." This quote is basically saying that in every culture people are different and develop their own personal cultures. While it may be true that not everyone from a culture has the exact same views of the world, it does not mean that your cultural identity does not influence your view of the world. In the story "Two Kinds", in paragraph 2 the mother says "Of course, you can be a prodigy, too. You can be best anything." In this story you see that the mother is very strict and expects her daughter to be better than everyone else. The mother did not develop these views on her own, the reason she was so strict was because in her culture if you're not the best at something then you are a failure. You can see that the author has different view and this is because she didn’t grow up in the exact same culture as her mother. This shows that most people's view are based on their culture they grew up
