At Minnehaha Academy the week before spring break is devoted Cultural Field Experience, where students choose a community service assignment that interests them and will lend a new perspective. In my sophomore year I spent two weeks exploring Austria, Germany, and Italy and learning about the history, culture, and art of each Western European country. A variety of practical lessons also presented themselves throughout my travels.
Navigating the winding streets of Italy taught me to rely on all my resources and be confident in my decisions.
