We have all shared social issues due to our race that have affected each one of us at one time or another. There is one instance that we always encounter; people usually assume who we are, where we come from just by looking at us or our accent. This bothers some of us more than to others. My family emigrated to the U.S. back on the 70’s, we arrived to New York and it was a culture sock for all of us as we did not speak English.
