I like the point that you share. It is a really big challenge to nurses facing different culture daily. One day I asked one registered CNA, “When do you go home?”. Then she was mad and told me,” You do not have the right to say that”. I was very shock and confused. I did not mean anything but the way I said it caused the misunderstanding. Therefore, I always tell the other people who have different culture than me that if I say something make you unhappy, please let me know and I do not mean it. I am still learning the cultural perception. Unfortunately, the cultural differences do not always list in textbooks so building good relationships and understanding patient’s cultural background, value and faith are very important for health providers
