“Hindu is a very complex belief system.” This is more than a religion but a way of life. Hindus have great respect for medical professionals. The men and women of this culture have different roles. If there is a medical concern of any sort, the decision is typically made by the entire family, which can delay treatment. • Asking yes and no questions make the patient to become not compliant and feel discouraged and will shut down to the medical staff.

Language barriers interfere with receiving quality healthcare. Most do not speak English or have little English speaking knowledge. We need to make sure to have translators available 24/7 in case an individual would come into the facility and needs immediate attention. We should never make assumptions about the healthcare of others. We could do some research about the culture if we are unfamiliar with any medical issues for that particular culture. In this culture we need to not ask yes and no questions. Having a list of common phrases, medical terms, and questions in bilingual form may be very beneficial not only to the patient but the healthcare professionals. It would be good for the practice to hire bilingual staff in all languages because they will be useful if an interpreter or translator was unavailable for whatever
