Culture is a group of people has the same characteristics like values, religion, norms and beliefs. All cultures have different behavior, thoughts and attitudes so in this era the cultures can know about other cultures how they live or behave or work .Moreover, the most import thing is it know how those cultures can understand and communicate with each other .Therefore In this essay, I will compare two cultures Japan and India through five points: How does perception impact on intercultural interactions in these two cultures, Identity and cultural bias, Verbal intercultural communication, Nonverbal intercultural communication and Listening within and across cultures.

In this way, Japan one of culture care about time and tenses. It is one of type languages that mean they care about the grammar in their language and when they speak they use the past, present and future. On another hand, India doesn't have one language it have a lot of languages “India is considered to be home to 461 languages” (n, 2015). Furthermore, all the regions in India have different languages such as Hindi, Oriya, Sindhi and Punjabi, so it is difficult to communicate with them if you don’t know their languages. Verbal intercultural has styles and one of them is direct versus indirect style. It is division in two ways direct and indirect styles. It is different from cultural to other cultures to use body languages. For example in the Japanese, they don’t use eyes contact because that mean rude and challenge unlike India culture that normal and use eyes contact more . Moreover in India “The left hand is considered unclean do not touch anyone's head” (Perez, 2011).
