This study was concluded by a self-report questionnaire, which permitted to gathered information from the criminals themselves. In my understanding of Cultural Deviance Theory and this particular article, the youth’s decision is influenced by what has being encouraged to them. The liberty given to these individuals (the youth), leads to the association with others, which can have an impact in their behavior, leading to the involvement of vandalism and other crimes. 2- Youth of Lower-class are more likely to engage in deviance behavior and criminal activities than those from middle and upper class. As I formulated both these hypotheses, it can assured that those individual (in this case juveniles) are more likely to engage in deviance behavior, as the system in which they grew up influenced in their decisions on how to behave in public/in society.
Discussion:
1- As to better the issue, I recommend that more counseling is provided in schools, as to ask students of their environment at home and their liberty when not at home.
