Based on the cultural conflict that are reflected the issues to the intercultural communication in “Outsourced” movie, most of the characters are involved in. From this cultural conflicts issue, Thomas-Kilmann conflict mode is the most suitable mode to measure a person’s behavior in their own cultural conflicts.
Accommodating
First of all, Todd Anderson is involved in accommodating of conflict-handling style between his Indian workers that based on the movie plot. From the story, once Todd Anderson touched up in India, the first person of Indian worker that he met is Phuru Narashima (supervisor in India office). During the journey that heading to the hotel, Phuru Narashima tells Todd Anderson that he will not send Todd Anderson go to the hotel due to there will so lonely for Todd Anderson. So, after pursuing and insisting that staying at Aunty Ji’s guesthouse is better than hotel that told by Phuru Narashima, Todd Anderson has accept the settlement by Phuru Narashima’s insisting and go to Aunty Ji’s guesthouse to have a look. It shows that Todd Anderson has yield and accept what has requested by Phuru Narashima and he has make this settlement are satisfies Phuru Narashima’s concern. First, Todd Anderson has promoted Asha as an assistant manager for helping Phuru Narashima to operate the minute per incidents due to Todd Anderson will leave India if the minute per incident reach 6.0. However, before getting down to 6.0 in the minute per incident, Todd Anderson has given a trial to Asha to coach for the workers and also helping him to reduce the minute per incident till 6.0. This has represented that win-win situation between Todd Anderson and Asha due to one of them wants to back to America as fast as possible meanwhile another one has promoted for her job
