Literature and other findings agree that cultural competency is fundamental to health outcomes and means of showing competency is through awareness, comprehension, attitudes, and abilities but little is precluded to outline how these will be entrenched (Brach & Fraserirector, 2000, p. 3). Cultural competency also mean looking at the other aspects of culture and be inclusive of the diversity that individuals bring. Cultural competence is an extension of age, gender, sexual orientations, transgender, and even physical abilities, religious beliefs, and socio-economic status populations.
