According to Bourdieu (1983) Cultural Capital Theory (CCT) exhibits a greater urgency with parents that have cultural capital resources. The expectations is not as obvious as parents who are not as fortunate as them. Even though, economic background is not the primary outcomes of parental involvement, however, it does contribute to the increasing aspect of parental involvement. Children who are transitioning to middle school has less chance for parents to feel disconnected in participating in their children education. However the differences between high and low CC parents were neither universal nor consistent across parental involvement constructs (Ringenberg, McElwee, and Isreal, 2009).

There is a lack of involvement between schools and home. The degree of this problem not only affect students but also communication within parents and schools. Although time constraint is one of the barriers that have a negative impact on parental involvement. Parents and schools should be accountable to one another in an effort to increase parental involvement in schools because there appears to be a lack of training for parents on the requirements and needs of students (Smith, 2011). The problem of the current investigation is design to address the role of cultural capital has on the involvement of parents. It is not known, how cultural capital theory and time constraint influence parental involvement for middle school special education students. Educators have sometime prejudge parents depending on their education and social background. According to Ringenberg, McElwee, & Isreal, (2009) the field of public education shares the values held by those parents who have more income and education and are white.
