Cultural brokers are: Interpreters that have an grater understand of a particular type of cultural including its rules and how it works, a Cultural broker can be call in to meetings to act as interpreter for the family/ person who is in the meeting, when the host of the meeting speaks (in this case it’s an educator ) to the family the interpreter might repeat what is said in that families cultural language , or in a way that they can under, what the cultural broker / interpreter says might/might not be say in plain English. Once they have got the required answer or question from the family/person the cultural broker will then translate that answer back to the person who is running the meeting.
