There are so many Halloween costumes out these days people can literally be anything they want from a fairy to witch, to a vampire or a princess. Back then I wasn’t really socially aware as much as I am now, so I only bought the costume because I thought it looked cool and pretty. It was shorter than a regular kimono and was sky blue with a black and white dragon pasted on the bottom. I love Halloween very much but looking back on that memory I know now to be more careful when selecting a costume. It’s definitely fine to want to know more and learn more about new cultures different from ours actually I encourage it because I myself love learning new things about new cultures. Also remember to educate yourself first before speaking on matters you don’t know anything or that much about, instead of acting like your opinion is the right one and everyone else is wrong. Keep in mind to that it’s never right to act like an expert on said culture acting like you know more than the actual person from this culture it is in fact very rude.
