In the story Stephen King created called, "Cujo", a mother named Donna and her young son named Tad went to Joe Camber's garage to fix thier car. While fixing the car, Donna saw Joe's dog, named Cujo, but he wasn't acting like himself. On a closer look she saw blood and an unknown substance on Cujo's face, this grotesque sight made Donna freeze. When Tad saw the scene he screamed and this made Donna get out of her frozen state and run to the car with Cujo chasing behind her. She gets to the car and closes the door just to hear Cujo hit the door. In the car, Donna sees Tad's window not shut and Cujo going toward the window. She scrambles to close the window and succeeds but to now be stuck in a broken car in the middle of nowhere, in a heatwave.
