Live Theater Show Analysis

It had been while since I been to Ohlone college. I am surprised to see there are huge changes. Four story parking lot with many construction still in the progress. I was lost for good 15 minutes before I met someone who was there to watch the same show. I never been to smith center and never watched any live theater show before. To tell the truth I just found out about the popularity about this show after I got there, show was full house. His is a man with bulky body but he thinks himself a looser. The story starts with the new admitted patients named with Randle McMurphy. McMurphy is full of life. He is smart, intelligent and believes that live is short so enjoy as more as you can. He comes in the asylum like a wind that stirs the life of all the patients there. He is rebellious, and caring at the same time. Other patients are scared. They are weak mentally. Protagonists McMurphy will not follow any rules made my nurse Ratchet. Nurse Ratchet is long time employee, all the men working, other nurses; even the doctors are into her control. She is tough and strict about the rules and regulations. McMurphy thinks as they are already in asylum, and they are going through a lot already they should not suffer anymore. They should try to find the way to stay happy, they play cards, gamble, play basketball, and even with permission he invites his friends to have party inside the ward. Bibit is another patients in that asylum, He stammers and he once tired to kill him after getting denial from the girl he loved. He is very scared of his mother but wanted to be truly loved by someone. McMurphy invited his girl friends to the ward party. They made the story seems too real. Place setting at the theater was four ways, with space in the middle an one side with the hospital setting. Light was changing depending on the situation. They were using each part of the theater including isle. When narrator will speak whole theater will be dark and sound would come from the wall. They also used the animation like birds flying and the sound of rain and spring. The setting looks like the hospital. Every actor has their job to do, with completion of each scene actors will carry their table chair and with 2-3 set is ready with new scene. Clothing wise nurse were wearing white uniform, patients were wearing hospital provided uniform and McMurphys’ two girl friends were wearing colorful dress. The director has definitely done the outstanding job in creating this
