Csu's: The Most Important Aspects Of College Life

I plan on attending a CSU, as opposed to the privleged and posh UC's, and for a number of logical reasons. Coming from an economical standpoint, CSU's are statistically 58.3% cheaper than UC's in tuition alone. Secondly, California houses 23 CSU's as compared to 9 UC's. Finally, CSU's have a much higher acceptance rate when put side by side with UC's.

The most important aspect for me is cost-reduction, since textbooks, food and beverages, and other aspects of college life will come into play during my stay. CSU's at most, in terms of tuition, ask for ~$7,000, however UC's can charge up to over $13,000. This ~$6,000 difference can easily get food in my stomach during my college experience. Something big to contemplate when you're going into college is the teacher to student ratio. Do you work well in an environment with hundreds of students, or do you need if you were students in a classroom to be able to concentrate. UCF has a 31 to 1 student to teacher ratio, well FSU has a 25 to 1 student to teacher ratio. Also you have to consider the ratings of the teachers.…

Another factor in choosing my college was location. Location wise, Wright State is a little more closer to Findlay than what UC is. Wright State is about an hour and a half drive while UC is around a 2 and a half hour drive. Wright State and UC have a different variety of activities. I saw that a lot of popular singers and writers do a live performance on both campuses.…

I decided to attend Community College of Rhode Island for a few different reasons. Being an underpaid teenager with my own car, location is a big deal for me. Distance learning classes not only save me gas, but push me to self-motivate and manage my time wisely.…

Since people commute to school rather than live on campus like you would at a university it gives you more time for other things. Most students who choose to go to community colleges are working more than part time jobs to make ends meet. If students were to live on campus, juggling academics, extracurriculars and a full time job almost seems impossible. Also, going to a two year college allows students time to work and possibly save some money to attend a four year school in the near future. Also, some students may even have a family of their own, so going to a community college which is very close seems more reasonable.…
