The review of literature consequently almost always points towards a positive results with exception of cases with benign cases while implementing CDSS to reduce the number of inappropriate or redundant tests. The results not only indicate a significant reduction in the unnecessary tests but, also provides evidence of substantial cost savings that will turn out to be crucial in the healthcare cost settings. Moreover, this reduction of tests will result in better treatment with reduced number of misinterpretations. It can be learned from the literature that CDSS is most effective when implemented in an integrated HIS system which will gather information from various sources and departments to give proper suggestions at proper times.
