1898: Clive Staples Lewis was born, November 29, in Belfast, Ireland
1908: August 23, his mother, Flora Lewis died
1908: He was sent to Wynyard School in Watford, Hertfordshire, England
1911: He enrolled in The Cherbourg House near Malvern College in England
1913: Abandoned his Christian faith and becomes an Atheist
1916: He received a scholarship to University College in Oxford
1917: Against his father’s wishes, he joined the British Army and during WWI
1918: In April, he was wounded in Battle of Arras
1918: In December, he was discharged from the British Army
1925: Began teaching at Magdalen College, Oxford
1926: He met his friend and colleague J.R.R. Tolkien
1929: September 24, his father, Albert Lewis, died

    The adventurer Meriwether Lewis explored the west Louisiana territory. He came back efficacious and became a national hero until he died under suspicious circumstances on October 11, 1809. The brave man died in his room at an Inn called Grinder’s Stand from a gunshot to the back of his skull and to his chest.
