One of the many things to be experienced in life and crossed off your bucket list is taking a cruise to anywhere in the world. Other than experiencing foreign countries, there are many limitless and amazing things that can happen while vacationing on a cruise. Your views on life will be enhanced just by seeing these foreign countries, the mountains, the white sands and turquoise beaches, and all the exotic animals you wish to have in your backyard. Seeing new things, tasting new foods, and of course the pampering, are just a few things to expect on a cruise. Admittedly, you might be a bit apprehensive at first, I know I was, but the people venturing via cruise with you end up almost like one big ol’ family by the end of the trip.

I personally have learned that planning for any trip is a smart non costly way to have fun and now a day when it comes to a cruise, you get the biggest bang for your buck. Pay for the room and boarding and everything else is pretty much included. The buffet of food, the fountain drinks, activities, club entrances, dances, plays, game shows. For example a trip anywhere else, like to Chicago, you would solely have to purchase the Airline ticket on its own, car rentals, meals, gas, souvenirs, it just seems like it adds up too much in the end. Is it even worth it? With purchasing your boarding ticket for the cruise everything “necessity wise” is included. Also the staff does everything they can to keep you entertained, providing the essentials. Even still you do not need booze, gambling or spa treatments to make your cruise exciting and worthwhile. Speaking of the staff you will ever meet employees that honestly seem to care about how your vacation is actually going and if they can do anything to make it more enjoyable. They make your stay so fantastic and personable; they even remember your name and ask how you are every time they see you, without being a nuisance. It seems as if they are working for you. They spoil you with every fiber of their being, no request will be denied and conversation won’t ever be

While at first glance, David Foster Wallace’s “Shipping Out” describes the miserable tale of the author on a cruise ship for a week, however, it is actually a commentary on the underlying insidious nature of cruise ships and vacation services. During this period, the author is treated to a multitude of luxuries, including thorough cleaning services, high-class dining, and constant recreational activities provided by the cruise. However, the author grows increasingly unsettled as he realizes the extent the ship’s crew is willing to do in order to gain the validation and the satisfaction of their customers. Jennifer Volland’s essay “Stay: The Archetypical Space of the Hotel” is another work which describes the nature of similar vacation spots,…

After reviewing my persuasive speech over why the University of Oklahoma is the best university in the nation, I would sum up my speech as a little bit of train wreck. Although I made good claims with factual evidence, the amount of stuttering I did, and all the times I was choked up throughout the speech drew my audience’s attention away. From this, I lost my audience’s belief that I was competent of the information I was reiterating to them. At the introduction of my speech I believe I started out fairly strong and gave a good run down of the coming speech.…

Within his first year as president, George W. Bush experienced the single most deadly conflict on U.S. soil in the history of the nation. On the morning of September 11th, a series of attacks in New York City, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania left nearly 3,000 Americans dead and shook the foundations of the nation. In his national address that evening, Bush ultimately mourned the loss suffered by the United States and sympathized with those directly impacted by the violence. Although the speech may be conceived as primarily serving as a eulogy for a grief-stricken country, Bush’s overarching goal rested with the future actions that would be taken; his premise was to expedite the rally effect of such a national crisis to provide the fuel…
