By the sheer number of animals that die each year in Canada for research purposes, we should have better laws to protect animals; Carolyn Olsen has done just this by putting forth the “Cruelty Free Cosmetics Act”. Who have put forth a bill to ban animal experimentation it is in Canada best interest to bring this law into legislation. Laws regarding animal experimentation are weak and need to change to be indictable offences with higher sentences. As PETA says “"Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way." This campaign “Cruelty free cosmetics” has become the largest in history with 90,000 supporters and 500 cosmetics companies agreeing to be “cruelty free”. Not only will
