Jesus had a way of making a huge crowd. His teachings of God’s words would draw huge crowds of followers and believers wherever he went, and this made the Roman leaders nervous due to the fact that with large groups could cause blemish in the society’s order. For instance, there were some Jews who deemed that the messiah was going to be a descendant of King David. However, Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary and was not a descendant of King David but the own son of God. Some Jews also believed that one of the prophets such as Elijah, the angel Michael, Enoch, or some other prophet would bring in the messianic age for the Jews.
Although a large number of Jews and all of the Jewish leaders didn’t believe he was the messiah, some of the Jews did. There are instances and situations throughout the Bible where Jesus was announcing the imminence of God’s kingdom and had performed miracles such as healing the sick, causing the blind to see, and also raising the dead.
