In the article, it states “Carb-free bread” and “artisanal homegrown organic bugs.” The articles last picture is labeled “A.I. Diet Food” and it as a picture of desserts such as a banana split, a donut, and a lollipop. The article personifies the banana split and it says “if you eat me now, you won’t fit into your favorite pair of jeans anymore.”
Saskia Wariner used her imagination when thinking how the future will change obesity. She brings ups the ideas of nutritious creations on demand which is customized to your blood levels, chocolate that makes you lose weight, etc. Wariner uses pictures and makes the slides almost like a children's book/comic. I believe the author mocks what others are thinking we will eat in the future because she states “Chocolate that makes you lose weight” and “Carb-free bread” which is impossible to make. She also talks about eating food “fresh from the lab” which shows that this piece that she created is a satire. I was confused when the author wrote “A.I.
