Dear Santa Maria Martinez Cortez Morales Alvarez Rodriguez de la Santa Cruz,

We were attacked by a giant sea monster in the middle of nowhere. The Crow’s Nest was able to spot it before any major harm was done, but there was giant hole in the back of the ship. The sea monster trashed the whole ship and ate one of the crew members. The ship was badly damaged by the time we were able to kill and escape the sea monster.

While we were escaping the sea monster, it got dark really badly, and we had lost track of the North Star. We were lost, cold, frightened, and, above all, hungry. One of the crew mates ended up with scurvy because we ran out of food. We found an island where we were able to repair the ship, hunt, eat, and take a well earned
