In the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, traditional genre boundaries are blurred together in many ways. The film does this by mixing together genres such as drama, action and even some romance. About fifteen minutes into the film, there is a major action scene when a strange women breaks in and steals the sword. The main character gets in a fight with this women. They are flying from roof to roof as she chases after the woman who has stolen the sword, then jumps into a hands on fight. This is a major action scene shown in the film. This part of the film can also be seen as drama as well, because after the whole fight between the two women, the women still gets away with the sword. This leads into the drama of the stolen sward in the film.

What we make of life in the time we have is the idea that David Fincher presents in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. He shows a character that is different because he experiences life backwards, however he enjoys life and meets new friends and emotions. This is in direct contrast to the portrayal of Benjamin by Francis Scott Fitzgerald who shows a character who is not accepted into society because he is different and thus he lives out his life alone. The idea that you live life essentially alone, if you are different, is more effective in engaging the reader and creating a thoughtful response from an audience who connect to the basis of…

The members of the family are self defined" (p. 5). The movie, Steel Magnolias, is based on a true story but names, details and events have been changed.…

The intolerable amount of deaths displayed in the film was only one of many strategies which Spielberg utilized in the movie to increase its authenticities. The fact that Saving Private Ryan accurately imitated the European Theatre of the War on the TV screen made it an excellent representation of United States’s contribution to the war efforts in the Second World War. As far as the women, normally the serious girl survives and the rest dies.…
