I believe cross training into a different career field will broaden your abilities within the Air Force and make you more marketable for future promotions. I believe this because they consider cross training during promotion boards as having knowledge for multiple areas of the Air Force. Earlier today, I downloaded the list of career fields that are open to cross train into. I have always seen you as a creator and an innovator, so we’ll take those into consideration as we go down the list to see what jobs best suit your team role and trait. Looking at what is open I would suggest cross training into Cyberspace Operations. From our other feedback

Soldiers in the 35P Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) face many challenges as the progress through their language school and Advanced Individual Training (AIT). They spend six to 18 months focusing all their attention on learning a second language at an accelerated pace and when they have accomplished that daunting task they are sent to Goodfellow Air Force Base to learn the technical aspect of their MOS, usually another three or four months of training. By the time a 35P Soldier arrives at their first duty assignment they have two or more years of service. They have received extensive training in language and technical aspects of their job, but they have received little, if any, tactical training pertaining to their jobs. This is a rebuttal to the nonrec I received last Tuesday. The nonrec states that I do not meet my OIC's physical fitness standards in order to be promoted. It does not exactly state it, but I know that he is referring to my 2nd class PFT. His "standard" for promotion as stated by the corporals a couple weeks ago while passing word was that anyone that does not have a 1st class PFT or fails the rifle range will not be looked at for promotion. Although, this standard is now easily achievable for me, it was not the standard for recommendation when I ran my PFT back in April.…

There are some challenges to hands on and cross-curricular learning, within our activity we came across some areas that could have been developed, Hayes (2010) argues that hands on learning its heavily resourced. We agreed with this as the amount of resources we had available were limited. We also didn’t ensure we had planned for a child with a medical need, and therefore had to re arrange the activity a quarter of the way through the lesson to ensure she could join in. This challenge is also identified by Jarvis (2009) who expresses that one of the risks to cross-curricular learning is that one subject takes over in response to children’s enthusiasm and interest, this is of a loss to the other subject.…

It will demand greater knowledge and more sophisticated skills than are presently. For instance, computer systems and networks remain advanced technology which is used now in the majority of telecommunication systems thus radically changing the profile of the users of these systems from soldiers to operators. This also will generate the need for skilled personnel in the maintenance sector because of the greater sophistication of new systems.…
