Even though we were supposed to recreate the artwork using the same medium as the original artist my art teacher made an exception for me, considering tiles were rather impractical. So now facing the challenge of translating a piece of art from one medium to another I decided that cross-stitching the mosaic would be the best way to translate it. None the less I am never one to back away from a challenge, especially if the challenge is art related, so I began weeks of work. Everyday we pass by a work of art and don't even acknowledge its existence. Art is everywhere we go, for example, a statue in a park is a work of art, it’s not only there for decorations. Having the opportunity to learn about previous artworks, one of them really stood out to me from ancient Egypt. When an individual hears Egyptian art they mostly think about mummies, pyramids, or Pharaohs.…

Before coming to Full Sail University, I had encountered many obstacles that tried to detour or distract me. One in particular placed a great deal of doubt in my mind and made me question was this what beyond doubt I wanted to do, or who I wanted to become. With each passing day that college was approaching this complex question tore me in two. The both of you have doubts I’ve proven that neither of you grasp what computer animation can do, nor where it can lead to moreover that’s what frightens you.…

Since a very young age, art has always been one of my major interests. I found joy in getting my hands messy with the paint and then transforming a white piece of paper into a something more than that with a rainbow of colors. In school, I always made sure to take all the possible art classes that were available and would fit my schedule. I also began to get more in involved in after school clubs such as the National Art Honor Society and the SmART Club where we did several art projects every week. On my last year of high school I decided to challenge myself and I took AP Studio Art: Drawing Portfolio.…

The purposelessness of life is what fills it with purpose. In his essay, “In Praise of Margins,” Ian Frazier defines the word “marginal” as the places or activities that “don’t sufficiently account for themselves in the economic world” (Frazier 7), usually being purposeless and occurring during one’s free time. Some places and activities in Frazier’s life that he now considers “marginal” are going to the woods and fishing. Being in “marginal” places and participating in “marginal” activities became embarrassing for Frazier and his friends as they grew into adults because they came to realize the lack of purpose in these places and activities without realizing that the purposelessness is what gives them significance. Frazier now believes that…
