Earlier this year I started doing CrossFit and not only have I gotten stronger, but I have gained balance, a sense of community, and a perspective for the hardships we face.

CrossFit adds balance and consistency to my fitness routine, as it is an intricate combination of Olympic weightlifting, plyometric, calisthenics, powerlifting and gymnastics, these movements build not only strength but endurance. Decision fatigue is a psychological term that embodies the detrition of the quality of our decisions after a period of time. Many notable individuals such as Former President Barak Obama, Mark Zuckerberg—founder of Facebook, and inventor Steve Jobs, all have been known to have chosen a few key everyday outfits to reduce the decisions they make in a day.
As I walk through the doors of my gym, I have one less decision to make for the day; and, due to this the time and effort invested is more results based then a guessing game. Additionally, CrossFit is known for their community feel and support. It is a leading factor to the success of the individual as the encouragement and recognition one receives holds one accountable and appreciated.
