My life has been impacted strongly by my representation of leadership, commitment to excellence, and the value I take in treating everyone with fairness and kindness.
Throughout my four years at the Bethel Park High School, I became the captain of the cross country team, I was the treasurer of the Journalism Club, and I was the head of committee for the Principal Advisory Committee of Students. As a leader of these clubs and activities I was able to be a part of, I learned and valued leadership skills. I was voted the captain of the cross country team because of how I took care of the team, and made sure everyone was always okay. Being the “mother” of this group most definitely impacted me to go towards a career where I could help others.

To do so I take every opportunity I can to work, through pain I do the best I can at sports, and will do what it takes to get a good grade on a test. Previously, I worked at a nursing home, loving to help the elderly. Although I loved the job, I wasn’t getting enough hours and decided to look for something else. Before this, I would ref a game or babysit here and there, but I realized if I worked hard enough this was a good way to not only earn money, but impact my future career, for I would be able to help kids. Doing this made me realize that I want to work with younger kids and guide them. Working hard in school has always been an important aspect of my life, and I have always been committed to to do the best I can. Although academics doesn’t always come easy for me, I consistently push myself, and I have proven myself with holding a 3.9 gpa and placement in the NHS. Since I know there are many hard components of teaching, this has influenced me that I will be able to overcome them, as long as I work hard and try my best.
One last thing that is important to me is, treating everyone with fairness and kindness. Throughout my highschool years I have been able to collect backpacks for children in need, collect over 250 dozen cookies for SHIM, and a memorable thing in my life, collecting and delivering coats and blankets for the homeless. Collecting the backpacks and cookies were important influences on my life on how fortunate we are. Giving to the homeless was an amazing and overwhelming experience in my lifetime and has truly impacted my life. I am now more aware of how lucky we are to have such a good

I want to be a Link Crew Leader because I would love to be able to mentor freshman as my previous Link Crew Leaders did to me. I also feel that becoming a Link Crew Leader would not only allow me to help shape freshman to become better people but to help me become a better person myself. I have been both a volunteer at a summer program for first and second graders and an assistant coach for the special needs program at Alta Loma Little League. At the summer program I was tasked with teaching 3 classes of first graders to type and code. This leadership position not only taught me how to actively communicate with people who learn in different ways, but also taught me to become a stronger leader.…

A leadership role I took on at school was Link Crew. In Link Crew I got to work with the upcoming freshman these past two years. One of my jobs was during freshman orientation when I taught the freshman the basic survival guide to high school. One moment that stands out to me most is when I helped a freshman overcome his fear of not being good enough for high school. He felt that he was not going to fit in because he was academically challenged.…

My most significant leadership experience would be when I was in the Girls Varsity Tennis Team. I had been in the tennis team during my highschool years, for 2 years. During that time I learned a lot about being a leader, such as what it means to lead others, and what qualities a leader should have. When I first started playing tennis I started at the position on 2nd doubles, to me I took it as that I was not good enough to play against an opponent by myself on the court. Which was entirely true, because when I began playing I was not any good whatsoever.…

First I would like to say that Johns letter to his son hit me very close to the heart, it is very beautiful and heartfelt containing so much meaning. I think john is showing his son he can be different and have an impact on the world by always choosing love, in my opinion to love another is the supreme sacrifice of self. For we must give freely and completely of ourselves to another, without reservation or condition. To give less serves only to hinder the growth of our evolution from self sustaining isolation to a greater joining of universal awareness. As children we love by instinct but it is a selfish love.…
