Cross Country Music Analysis

Music has definetly influenced the way people do certain things. There are thousands of ways to use music to your advantage. Music can tell your story, help you exercise better, or even help you relax. A song can be used to share many diffrent things. In my case, the song “Centuries” by One Republic shares my story. The song says “Some legends are told, some turn to dust or to gold, but you will remember me, remember me for centuries”. This specific song shares my story because i’m always trying to stay on top. I train for the Varsity Cross Country team everyday, so that one day i will be the best in Laredo. I believe that people will remember me as, “ the little girl who could beat the boys in Cross Country”. Different genres of music, help you do different activities. When i run on my own, i usually listen to music. The lyrics and beat of the song “ Hall of Fame” help me go faster and control my breathing a lot more easier. They also help me not give up, because believe me, eight miles isnt easy. My favorite part is when they say “Dedicate yourself and you gon’ find yourself, standing in the Hall of Fame, and the world’s gonna know your name, cause you’ll burn with the brightest flame”. These lyrics are trying to tell people to pursue their dreams even when others try to put them down. I can relate to this because i’ve always wanted to be an Olympian Cross Country runner, or a professional soccer player, but people always told me that i was to small and too weak. Many people told me i wouldn’t get their; they said my goals were to high. This song motivates me to prove those people wrong.
Music influences many people in many different ways. One thing is for sure though, music will always affect you one way or
