An example of how crooks is lonely is when Lennie comes and visits Crooks. Crooks does not go into their room so he does not want them in his. Even though Crooks is yelling at Lennie for being in his room Crooks lets him stay because he secretly likes the company. Crook’s comes off towards Lennie a mean and harsh is because he wants people to think that he is not lonely and that he is perfectly fine with being alone. Another example of Crooks impairments is when Crooks denies George and Lennie to help with the ranch. Crooks does not want to help because George calls him names and so does Curley’s wife and he does not want to be referred to that if he is going to be working with them.
