In the myth of “Cronus”, Cronus, the Lord of Titans struggles with his father to become ruler and the same thing happens with his son. Both the myth and The Lightning Thief shows 2 family members struggling for something valuable to them. In “Cronus”, the family members are father and son and in The Lightning Thief, they are Poseidon and Zeus, who are brothers.

In the myth of “Cronus”, 2 members of a family fight to gain power to rule over the world. It shows the theme when Uranus and Cronus fight to become king. Which is shown in this part of the text, “Cronus did overthrow his father, but he did not save his monstrous brothers.” After Cronus overthrew Uranus, he became the ruler.
