I'll start by saying that critiquing and reviewing articles have become easier, but I still find it to be very difficult. I am not sure if this is because the articles I have read are far above my ability to comprehend what is being stated within the article, or perhaps I am a little behind the learning curve of psychology. This is my first psychology class in over a decade so I believe I may be experiencing growing pains. This first thing I learned about reviewing published scholarly articles is that the abstract is my best friend. This may seem obvious to some people but I am learning to learn all over again since I have been out of school for a while. I make sure that I completely understand what the researchers are attempting to study,
