Critique the Prodical Son
What the Son has to say
The parable of the prodical son is found in Luke 12: 11-32, in the Holy Bible. The thing about this story is that it has different meanings, all rolled up into one. Jesus speaks of the prodical son, and teaches with it. The prodical son has very good messeges contained in it.
The prodical son represents a lost lamb, or a sinner, and the Father, God. God will, like the father in the story, accept you back. He will rejoice in the fact of having you back, because you are not in Hell. He loves you, and is a very forgiving God. God will let you do whatever you want, as did the father to his son. If you leave God, and get focused in what you are doing, you can always return to God, and he will accept

In the parable, the son left his father, and his guidance. Because of this, he made bad decicians, and blew all his money. He ended up poor, and a begger. His life had fallen apart. Just like that, once you leave God's side and guidance, you're life will fall apart, and/or have no meaning. The son returned back to his father and started over, and was accepted back. Anyone who is lost is welcome to return back to God. With God, your life has purpose.
God will always welcome you back, no matter how many times you fall astray. This is perhaps one of the main points in this parable. The father is not angry with his son when he screwed his life up, but the father welcomed him back with only joy. That's how God works. You may get lost, but God will be happy when you find your way back to him.
This parable is all about how God loves you, even when your lost. God is represented by the father, and you are the son. God will embrace his lost children, and welcome them back. God has infinate power, but still loves his children. The prodical son has different meanings. This is probably one of the most recognized parables in the Bible. This parable obviously has very important, key messages in

As stated earlier, E.M Cook was one of the scholars that contributed to the “son of God” debate and argued that the “son” was a negative figure. Cook offered the most comprehensive defense to the negative interpretation in his article, “4Q246”. Cook states “the Akkadian prophecies provide the most convincing background for 4Q246” and he argues for a direct relationship with these scrolls . The Akkadian prophecies introduced by Cook are a compilation of five works that date from the twelfth-century B.C.E to the Seleucid period . In Cooks article, he highlights twelve traits that Aramaic and Akkadian texts exhibit in common; however, on further examination, Collins reveal that they are not as impressive as they initially seem .…

Throughout the New Testament, parables are facilitated by Jesus in order to get a certain message across to the people. Although the parables often times have the same core ideas, the different words and tones used in each of the different gospels completely change the way the parables are read. In the mustard seed parable, Matthew, Mark, Luke and Thomas all have the same essence, but the different expressions make them very distinctive. Through comparing the similarities in differences between these four Gospels, it can be deducted that similar sources and references were used in constructing the parable.…

Matthew and Luke share a related teaching in which another aspect of the father’s nature is revealed – his attitude toward supplicants and his benevolent character. The majority of Matthew 6 is devoted to the attitude of the Father toward his children as worshippers and those seeking his aid. The Father is concerned with the inner character or true person of the child rather than outward performance – which is to say that what the child is at a fundamental level is more important to the Father than what the child does. Matthew extends this teaching into an invitation to trust in the benevolent character of the attentive Father who “knows our need before we ask” and yet delights in being asking and in providing for his children while incorporating…

To know and understand through the revelation of the Spirit of God, the eternal oneness of Jesus the "Son", Jesus the "Father", and Jesus the "Holy Spirit". That He was and is before all things and that by him "all things consist". That Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily and without controversy great is that mystery of Godliness. Even though man in his finite thinking gradually gravitated away from the leading of the Holy Spirit through the centuries, God has still through Jesus Christ revealed himself to those who have a hunger and thirst for righteousness. We can clearly understand how Jesus would utter sayings such as "before Abraham was I am" because he was the God of the Universe before there was a universe.…
