Our lives are influenced by the decisions we make on a daily basis, sometimes we take the time to think and make the best decisions while at other times we make a decision without looking at the outcome we will bring upon ourselves. Chapter one discusses how critical thinking is a very important skill needed to survive and thrive in our society of today. With critical thinking we improve our chances of success and expand our knowledge.

Due to the fact that our lives can not be predicted, we are never one hundred percent sure of the future and need to be able to make the correct decisions that can lead us to the best path.
