Nursing process and critical thinking course has affected me in so many ways. I have learned so much in this course and found it very interesting. I have a very good learning experience from my instructor and classmates. The three main things that have great impact in my learning experience are the cases presented of each group in the class, applying critical thinking in nursing process, and journal.
The different case presented by each group refreshed my memory and updated my knowledge about medical health problems that were discussed in the class. I believe the cases that were presented are the common health problems in Canada that a nurse should know. It encouraged me to go back on my notes/books and read more about it for my own benefit. The case presented by my group “Diabetes mellitus” was very timing because my agency gives me an assignment for almost 4 1/2 weeks now. Client has broken her wrist (on cast) and type-1 DM. The knowledge and updates that I learned from our presentation “DM” has helped me become confident in handing the case and answering my client’s questions about her medical condition.

In addition, I recognized the importance of considering the ethical, spiritual, cultural, and legal aspects in my nursing practice here in Canada in improving my client’s health. In my experience, establishing rapport to my client is easily achieved because I acknowledged these four aspects in

What an amazing critical thinking response. Your post made me think more into the situations and the feelings that someone with dementia has and feels. You put a lot of thought into what you post and that's awesome. I think a lot of people get too frustrated too quickly with someone who is suffering from this disease , and rather than help the person, they give up too quickly. Daily duties is something I never thought off that could help someone.…
