That’s a good one. I don’t know. I guess. I’m telling you I don’t have any thoughts before or after I’m mad. I “blackout” and can’t think straight. I don’t think he bought into my suggestion. But the good thing was that he didn’t get defensive. He still continues to take no responsibility of his anger by claiming he has no thoughts that trigger his anger. I know you mentioned that you tend to black out every time you get mad. But from what we just discovered you do have thoughts before and after you get mad. It sounds more like you have difficulty labeling your A-B-C’s, which leads you to think that you just react and go from 0 to 100 with your anger. Learning how to identify your thoughts and emotions that lead to your reaction takes time.
