Critical Thinking Essay #1 Seven years ago, my family suffered through a terrible tragedy. We had lost my oldest, and only sister. Practically the beginning of my sophomore year and I had to deal with high school and losing her? The inevitable began to happen: depression took over my life. I was a completely different person: terrible grades, dissipating interests, and no energy. I should have told someone much sooner than I did but I was afraid of how they would view me. My mother received the phone calling alerting her of Stephanie’s [my sister] condition as the nurse on the line acknowledged that she was not expected to make a recovery and they would need her to make the decision to keep her on life support or not. Financially, we could not afford plane tickets for all four of us, so we had to stay behind while she made the venture by herself. Upon making preparations for her departure one of the steps became notifying the school of the situation and ensuring their compliance with the importance of me having my cellphone on my persons at all time.
