This semester in critical thinking class, I learned many new things that affected my everyday life. One of those things was VOC or (voice of criticism) and ego defense. The voice of criticism is that little voice we all have in our head that it's only good for bringing you down. The Voice of Criticism almost never have something positive to say, it almost always negative. For example, you might have a great opportunity in your job to get a promotion and you’re thinking about going to talk to your so you could tell him that you deserve that promotion, but the Voice is Criticism is telling you " Don't do it, you don’t deserve this promotion and you don’t have what it takes to fill the requirement that they're asking for."
