I) INTRODUCTION
Rana sales & services Pvt. Ltd. Is an ISO-9001:2008 certified company which is into designing and manufacturing of mining machinery, Critical Railway components along with other general engineering solutions. The unit is spread over an area of 6300 metre square along with separate administrative and manufacturing units. There work includes following processes such as:
• Casting – Casting is a manufacturing process in which a mould is formed of a desired shape, then molten metal or any liquid material is poured into it and then as the metal solidifies it comes into the desired shape, in other words, a metal casting is created. Though this process seems to be very simple, it is both a science and an art. It is one of the oldest manufacturing process used in the industry and also one of the cheapest and direct way of producing various mechanical parts.
• Designing – Designing is a practice for general engineering for designing products so that they are easy to manufacture. This process is usually meant for reducing manufacturing costs. DFM helps out in such a way that it fixes all the potential problems which turns out to be least expensive for the manufacturing firm.
• Forging – Forging process is very important part in manufacturing of metal in the industry. It involves shaping of material using compressive forces. Forging is usually classified by the temperature at which it is treated. For
