In this sense these novels contribute to a conversation that acknowledges the importance of change, commitment and racial identity. However, although these novels educate us on such issues, they do not explicitly gives us steps and precautions we can take in order to initiate change, or how to involve ourselves in the next set of literature that will write on the systematic challenges of the next generation.
