Kevin Carter is a Photographer that is located and situated out in South Africa taking images within the situation of the apartheid out and within Africa . when people look at this image they can think is this what really happens out in africa but other people can get worped and touched by the image emotionally.
An unbiased meaning of the image is that the photographer kevin carter was only doing what he was ordered to do which was going out into Africa and taking photographs not getting involved in natural selections of what happens around but I also think that kevin could go against what he was told and save the child from dying of starvation and thirst .

As he was getting all his equipment and him self ready to take the image he was told not to touch or pick up any of the victims that he could see , at this point this made the meaning behind the image more controversial cause many people thought that Kevin was being cruel for just doing his job and leaving the child
