I explained that I had many ideas of what I could use to describe my relationships. She asked whether they had to be romantic and suggested that it might be easier to write about a non-romantic bond. She, I realized then, would be the perfect subject. Our friendship is one that I value and is a very strong one. The health of our friendship is a very indestructible one. We are certainly not the disasters described in Smith’s “Science Says Lasting Relationships Come Down To 2 Basic Traits”, we are more the masters. We have an active constructive approach, we show each other gratitude, kindness, and honesty. Though we have our bumps in the road, we pay close attention to verbal and non-verbal behaviors. Altogether and conclusively, our friendship, our best friendship, is healthy and certainly bound to last a very long
