In Cristian Urrea’s honors presentation, Urrea discusses the topic over Hydrocephalus by further stating what it means, contains, and how it can impact Americans. During the presentation, Cristian claims that over a million individuals in the U.S. live with this long term, medical condition which is caused by excessive fluid in the brain. Also, another statement that is made by Cristian is that Hydrocephalus can cause the normal ventricle within a human’s brain to enlarge with fluid that is built-up and causes pressure in the brain. As stated by Cristian during his presentation, CSF is the cerebrospinal fluid found in the brain (ventricles) and spine, and is a clear bodily fluid that everyone has even if they do not have Hydrocephalus.
