This type of decision involves having to make a choice between two different things. Each of these choices has both positive and negative sides to them. These conflicts, like the single approach-avoidance conflict, are often very difficult and multifaceted. They cause a lot of wavering, indecision and stress. I have dealt with this type of conflict when just this past weekend. I had to decide between staying at school and going home. If I stayed at school I would get to go out with my friends that I hadn’t seen a while, but I knew I would be doing this at the expense of getting my school work done, and I had a lot of school work to do. I also wouldn’t have to drive and spend money on gas. If I went home I would have a lot of time to focus on my school work. I would also get to see my family, who I haven’t seen in a while. I also sort of needed a break from some of my friends because we were all starting to get on each other’s nerves. I ended up going home for the weekend. It was not a fun weekend at all; however, I got two papers and a project done for the week. Parts of me wish I would have been around school, especially when I see pictures of my friends on Facebook, but I know that I definitely made the right decision because I am experiencing so much less stress going into the
