The answer is no. It is not justifiable or necessary and has no place in American society. It is unjustifiable for many reasons. The first reason is very obvious, and that is, not everyone who looks a certain way, speaks a certain language, or has a different religion is considered dangerous and a criminal. With racial and ethnic profiling, the people who look, speak, and worship differently than the “normal American” are all being watched and judged constantly. Is that fair? I alone have already been a victim of racial profiling a number a times, and I am only 21 years old. My mom side of the family is originates from Russia, and my fathers is from Mexico City. I have been told that it is very hard to guess what ethnicity I am because I have very unique features. I always enjoyed hearing that because I was proud to look different, however as I have gotten older, I have been in many situations where I wished I fit in more. In Arizona I have been stopped because of racial profiling. My father and me have to carry our passports when we go visit my step mom’s family. At the airport I have been looked at funny, have gotten my bad hand checked multiple times, and have been pat down a few times as well. Even though I might have forgotten to take off my belt, after being pat down, I notice people staring and looking at me in a rude
