Thesis: Homeland Security is interdisciplinary in nature by bringing together fields of criminal justice, security, and political psychology. ISIS and Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi declared Islamic Caliphate with 7 steps or phases that occur every 3 years ending in 2020. ISIS and Al Qaeda divided on who is actually the Caliph based on descendants of the Quaraysh tribe, and who has been selected by the Shura. ISIS is establishing legitimacy among Sunni Muslims around the world and moving away from Al Qaeda. The proclamation of Sunni caliphate may be the glue that holds together disparate groups on a global scale.
