On Thursday, October 6th, 2016, at 10:37 a.m., I, Officer Imran Hassan, was dispatched to Garage C located in Pipe street to investigate the murder of a young college student named Mark Smith. Arrival at the scene, the items of the victims lay two feet from his body. The items include a gray school backpack, his brown shoes, and a jacket. The victim has multiple stab wounds and seems to have bled to death. The victim’s lifeless body laid on the floor face down. There was a stream of blood running down from the victim to his belongings. The victim has dark brown hair and was wearing black jeans, a shirt with black and white stripes. The victim is not wearing shoes. The victim's blood is spattered all around the scene which indicates there was …show more content…
I, the coroner Imran Hassan was on duty and performed the examination on Mark Smith. The first thing I noticed was that Mark's body was covered with blood. This indicates that Mark bled to death. There are seven stabs. Three in his back, two in his stomach and one in his neck and one in the chest. The victim is about 21 years old. The two stabs in his neck show that the person who stabbed him was taller and stronger. The knife that was used fractured his neck bone and this shows that the killer used force and must have been stronger. The stabs in his back did not go all the way through like it did on his neck but in some stabs, they were repeated. There was more blood on the repeated stabs which is another evidence of repeated stabbing. The victim's stabs seem to indicate that he was murdered because most of the stabs are located in his back and neck. Mark did not only die because of loss of blood. He also died because of the stab on his chest. After examining Mark Smith’s body, I come to a conclusion that he was indeed murdered. He was a healthy 21-year-old. Most of the tests came out negative and did not have any health issues. The cause of his death was the stabs especially the ones in his chest which is one that put him in critical condition. The stab in his chest damaged his right lung which led to him losing his breath and loss of …show more content…
I have known Mark Smith for seven years now. We went to the same High School and currently College and we have become really close friends. I still remember the day we met, I was new to the school and he was the only welcoming person I met. He would smile to everyone and be able to put anyone at ease. His kindness is what made him a great person. The event that occurred on Thursday, October sixth is one that I will never forget. My best friend was taken from us in a violent way. It hurts me that something so tragic happened to him and is no longer here with us but today we celebrate his life. We celebrate Mark, the amazing friend, son, and student. He was always there for everyone and put others needs before his. He worked really hard in everything he did and was really looking forward to achieving his goal which was to go to medical school and become a doctor. He always wanted to help others and becoming a doctor was a way for him to help others. He was the definition of kindness and was appreciated by all of us. In high school, he would bring everyone together because he did not want anyone to be left out. That's the kind of person he was; a caring loving human being. I am really grateful that I met you and had the chance spend time with you. I will forever cherish the memories we shared. Though you are gone too soon you lived your life wonderfully and touched all of our hearts. You will never be

All of them had been inflicted shortly before death and one on the temple caused by a crushing blow. Sir Spilsbury also pointed out the absence of signs of asphyxiation and scars around the neck, and this was used as evidence against Norman Thorne’s story of Elsie’s death. The fact that this case was solved almost 20 years later correlates with the very little doubting’s regarding the accuracy of the science used. This illustrates how forensic science did in fact lead policing to develop, as well as detective methods. Forensic science was a huge breakthrough in dealing with crime; it was not until after its development that policing really improved.…

The system is governed by these guidelines from the time a police officer suspects a crime all the way to the day the offender is released from prison. The steps for an individual to be convicted of a crime must start with the arrest, and fallow the process in order to the pre-trial, trial, and appeals. There are different guidelines that apply to state and federal cases. To effectively understand the criminal justice process a person must start at the bottom and follow the progression of the charge.…
