As learned from the description, in order to maximize speed and efficiency at CrimeMapping.com, there is an 800 point limit to the amount of data that can be plotted at any one time. Another option to go beyond the 800 point limit, it is possible to zoom into a smaller area, reduce the date range or reduce the number of crime types plotted. The Omega Group software is an Extension to ESRI ArcCatalog. Their Data Integration tool processes an agency's data as it sits on their own local server. Typically crime data has corresponding location information for record keeping purposes. However, in order for this data to be best provided in a format meant for public display, the data must be cleaned, geocoded and organized before it can be loaded to the Web Hosting Server.
