Crime prevention at one time or another has been an issue for any major city and or rural area around the nation. There have been programs in the country to bring together policy leaders, citizens, communities and the police to deter crime. What is unique about crime is that it is always changing from generations to the safest area. I recall in Jacksonville FL in the early 90’s that the majority of violent crimes normally took place on the Northside followed by the Westside of town. Since moving back here a few years ago the tides have shifted. There is still plenty of crime on the Northside and Westside; however, both the Eastside and Southside of town continue to have high numbers also.
