The majority of the time, criminal acts result from the negativity in a person 's life. Some behaviourists argue that people are not born with violent dispositions; however, they learn to think and act violently as a result of their day-to-day experiences. People with higher levels of moral reasoning refrain from criminal behaviour because they believe it is wrong, even when presented with the opportunity. John V.Clarke, author of Situational Crime Prevention Successful Case Studies Second Edition, believes “that crime is purposive behavior designed to meet the offender’s commonplace need” to act violently because they lack the fundamental skills to help them function in everyday life (Clarke 9). More often than not, onlookers immediately associate a person with a certain crime according to stereotypical means. Some predictors of delinquency indicate attention problems, low school attendance, poor parental supervision, parental conflict, large family size, varying family incomes, and coming from a broken family are some of the principles that result in such irate behaviors. Police task forces, along with communities need to come together and support each other, rather than tear each other down by giving each other a bad name. Most police forces have been actively engaged in crime prevention activities for a number of years, and their efforts are increasingly being supported by advocates in communities and volunteers everywhere. Crime is everywhere; people should be informed and do everything in their power to stay informed. One cause for crime is the unsteady rate of unemployment (Ward 23). When the unemployment level rises, so does the rate of crime. There is controversy over gun laws and the rights of American citizens are in question. For many years, people have argued that guns kill people, when in reality, the abstract thought is a mere impression. The Sandy Springs Gun Club created a meeting to inform people about the importance of crime prevention. In the seminar, they demonstrated personal safety and effective ways to prevent crime (Pic). Time and time again, people try to indicate whether a program is going to be successful or not. In order to be successful, a crime prevention program needs to have members that are willing to put in the effort to ensure it triumphs.
